What is Coaching?

The posture of the coach, is distinct from that of the facilitator or psychotherapist. The coach holds their client present in two worlds, the symbolic and real, as they guide them to autonomy.

This Posture is key to any coaching practise and distinguishes it from other forms of care. (Continue reading)

TESTIMONIALS

Doing The Work with Sarah has been transformative. When I first began my journey with her, I suffered from extreme anxiety and moderate depression. Through our weekly sessions and check ins I was able to unearth traumas that I had suppressed that were subconsciously hindering my day to day life. With Sarah’s coaching and brilliant insight, I have been able to break free of things that did not serve me well. […] life does not feel as cloudy and grey as it used to. I will continue to use the tools that Sarah has provided, […]. I am forever grateful for the time we had together. Sarah is the best help I’ve had, hands down.

I met Sarah at a time when I was facing serious problems at work. It was a time of immense doubt, loss of confidence and huge moral fatigue. I had been doing everything everything possible over the previous months to get through the situation with the help of sessions of psychologists, sophrology and other forms of  hypnosis. This combination of care provided […] did not bring me a solution. I was in a dead end. Today, thanks to the work done during the sessions with Sarah, I am totally out of the doldrums in which I was stuck for too many years and I found my path of personal fulfillment.

I needed to be guided, supported, helped, comforted, reassured, encouraged and Sarah brought me all that. Her method is very fun and very effective. Right from the first session, I came out with a changed energy, answers and new routes to explore.

I really like Sarah’s style of coaching. She guided me out of a mental loop that I was stuck in. And it didn’t even seem like I was being coached or analyzed!

Chance had it that I met Sarah at a time when I was facing serious problems at work. It was a time of immense doubt, loss of confidence and huge moral fatigue. I had been doing everything everything possible over the previous months to get through the situation with the help of sessions of psychologists, sophrology and other forms of  hypnosis. This combination of care provided by professionals of good living, helped me get through my daily life but did not bring me a solution. I was in a dead end. Today, thanks to the work done during the sessions with Sarah, I am totally out of the doldrums in which I was stuck for too many years and I found my path of personal fulfillment.

About Me

I’m Sarah De Castro.

I believe people can write their own story: evolve, transform and live with joy.

I’m a bilingual coach, with a Masters in Coaching from the Sorbonne Paris (II Pantheon - Assas). My influences are very international and my approach draws from my home country, New Zealand: connected to the earth. Both practical and spiritual.

I’m also trained in PNL and image consulting. I’m qualified in and an avid adherent to Clean-process,  a technique devised by fellow New Zealander, David Grove who drew on his bi-cultural Māori / British roots when designing therapeutic and coaching methods.

"Clean" supports clients discovering and developing their own symbols and metaphors. It is the basis of two methods in which I’m practiced: Clean Space and Symbolic Modellingapplied in organisational development.

It’s Now Time to Take the First Step
